Read Institute of Texas Refreshing a Montessori School’s Identity
Summer 2025
Creative Direction
When the Read Institute of Texas set out to update its brand, the goal was not simply to redesign a logo. The school needed a clearer digital presence that reflected the warmth of its Montessori philosophy while also feeling modern and accessible to parents searching for schools online.
The project became a full identity and digital refresh. The starting point was understanding how parents actually evaluate schools. Many families were navigating websites on their phones and looking for immediate answers about curriculum, tuition, and philosophy. Yet most Islamic school websites buried that information beneath cluttered layouts and outdated structures.
The design approach centered on clarity. I developed a new visual system rooted in Montessori principles and Islamic geometric inspiration. The logo, typography, and color palette were designed to feel calm, structured, and welcoming. From there, the brand extended into a full digital system including a redesigned website, social media templates, and printed materials for the school.
The website was restructured to prioritize the information parents care about most. Programs, schedules, tuition, and admissions steps were surfaced clearly. Navigation was simplified and the entire experience was designed mobile-first. The end result was a cohesive brand and digital platform that reflects the school’s values while making it easier for families to learn about the community.
The redesign transformed the school’s identity from something functional but outdated into a brand that feels thoughtful, modern, and rooted in its mission.
